Out’s Dallas/Cosgrove /Marsh Injured Watters / Jalo in’s Clement fit forwards at the club Clement and Dyer. if that’s it we will have achieved the almost impossible in making our forward line worse than it was before.
Rodrigues: 8 career goals. Never played in this country. Watters: Out injured 4-6 weeks. Jalo: Likely to be back around April time. Humphrys: 14 without a goal going back to November. A poor man's Norwood. Dyer: Put on the bench at the weekend by Clarke to make a point to the board. Not a chance he would get subbed on. What promotiontastic forwards we have out our disposal.
I’m not one to moan and typically I’m pretty positive on here about the club and ownership. Clearly Jan is difficult but the business in forward areas is disappointing. I really hope we finish the season strong but if we don’t the club is going to face criticism, for me Clarke hasn’t been backed where we he really needed help. I wasn’t expecting us to spend like Hudds or Wrexham but this has been underhwelming. Let’s hope the new signings hit the ground running.
Absolute shambles, if we weren’t gunna start Cosgrove he should have gone in summer after strong play off performances, position were now in is result of months of tossing it off kicking the can down the road to the next window
I think that train of thought is now going to shift. I sympathise with Clarke now and the hand he has been delt and look to the recruitment and those above.
Well he used to, but 2 in 23 last season, suggests he's done and maybe why he's been a free agent since the end of last season. Think I'd rather pay no money to young, speculative silly signings than silly money to old has beens well past their best.
Apparently that's who Clarke is speaking to on Zoom this afternoon. I don't think it would be a bad signing. He's been at some big clubs and a decent showing for us would get him back up the Football food chain. I wouldn't worry about him not playing this season because players in his position nowadays get subbed off anyway and aren't expected to play a full game.
