Was tongue in cheek because people said he didnt score enough goals. He was a great player but he played nearly 700 matches so a goal every 4 matches which is not prolific.

Was meant to be irony. This kid has been written off based on his goals per game ratio. 3 goals.in 8 starts I'm led to believe. I used Hughes simply because his goals per game ratio was not as good as most top strikers and he used to get stick for it. Hopefully this guy puts in the same work ethic as Ferenczi and becomes a fan favourite.

Dont think anyone's having a go at the kid, more the fact that we needed 2 or 3 strikers and due to shipping out Cosgrove we are no better off in numbers than before the window and our only adfition is very inexperienced. It's the recruitment that's crap.

I hope you're right, I really do, I'd be happy if he was in the same league as Thiam - he came to us from League 2 side in France. So you never know.

I hope he's not as bad as Thiam, 8 goals in 92 games. He could hit a ball but that was about it.

Anyone we got who was as good as Thiam would be an improvement in a front line to what we currently have.

And I never thought I'd be in agreement with such a statement... But I am. Have we actually got enough available forwards to create a line?

I'm gonna have to give in to the negativity impulse because watching that... really BFC?

Clearly a wide player by trade and the standard of football, stadia, crowds etc... well it could be Athersley Rec or Worsborough Bridge. You could put together a video that would make any of their lads look as impressive.

All power to you Clement, not your fault and I hope you thrive over here. But you've been brought in to plug a gap that shouldn't have your name on it.

Finally found time to watch this.

If that's his highlight reel then he's no better than what we've got. Lofthouse could do that. Jalo could do that. I haven't seen him play but I reckon Dyer could that.

I really hope he proves to be worth it but based on much of that video he's getting nowhere at this level.

His interview on YouTube was in French, so I presume his ability with reading English is currently limited. I must admit that after going through the postings on this board, that can only be a good thing.

I've got a good feeling about this kid, simply based on the fact that him signing has sent Hemmsy apoplectic.

I wish the lad all the best, I truly do.

But it’s absolutely comical that we’ve ended up with him. How on earth has he been identified? Certainly not through his stats surely! It reeks of Sormaz scrambling around looking for strikers across Europe, it’s clearly his agent offering his services & Sormaz thinking brilliant, “he’ll do”.
There’s absolutely no way we’ve known he even exists before yesterday. How embarrassing.

Didn't we sign Mael and Bassi from the French second tier? We've clearly got some kind of scouting presence there.

I would imagine with our finances he doesnt have a chance in hell of taking a punt as you described but would have to justify each transfer.

Not a very good one based on those two
