No surprises to see the Premier League and the Saudi League as the biggest spenders this window but for the Championship to out spend 4 of the other big 5 world leagues is utter bonkers.

And yet the gap between championship & premier league is growing more and more.

This is the reason why clubs like Bournemouth, Brighton & Brentford can get players to join them over historic giants like Ac Milan, Inter, Ajax etc

We need to stop paying players and especially in our leagues average players silly wages. I’m surprised that footballs not folded in on itself I’m sure it will one day.

Don't Man City account for about 200m of the Prem spend?

Yes. Proper trying to recover the season. Their first major Jan transfer since Laporte in 2018. They didn't spend much of anything in the summer, which looks a huge mistake now considering

Thought this was about Barnsley’s net spend at first, out of interest what’s that ? Assume it’s in negative as more left than what joined and parent clubs will probably be paying at least half.
