He is, and I'd be glad to see him sign for us. But he doesn't solve the striker problem.

His contract must have been brought to an end before the window shut.

Lucas Joao would be my choice he’s still only 31 and plays off the cuff he can frustrate but win you a game with a bit of magic.

    Do they?

I have always understood that if a contract is mutually terminated then the player is a free agent immediately so how is the date of the window relevant?

The transfer windows are actually registration windows. If a player is registered with a club once the window is closed he can't be registered with another one until the next window.

3 goals in 30 games for a 35 year old. I wouldn't put it past us.

He could help the strikers by actually crossing to them instead of hitting the first defender or opposite corner flag

He's a proper striker that might occupy defenders and help to bring the best out of DKD and Phillips.

I'm not sure what I make of this rumour but I know I always hated it when he was playing against us

In fairness redrum I don't buy into mass hysteria its negative and not for me.
A bit like when the team are losing you'll never hear me shouting or typing sack the board, the manager and the tea lady because when the team comes back and wins it can make some people look silly.
We've one or two posters who spend between 12/14 hours a day slagging off everything the club does,I'm sure it can't be good for their mental health.
Footballs a very passionate game and I'm 100% certain that from the board ,the coaches, the players and the fans we all want the same which is success.

My thoughts exactly, he could add a bit of nous and steel so I'd be happy with him coming in until the end of the season, seems like a low risk gamble.

Well I believe he can if the contract is mutually terminated.

Only if it is mutually terminated during the transfer window. If not there would be nothing stopping Manchester city from mutually terminating haalands contract allowing us to sign him on a free tomorrow and then in the summer us signing a random 16 year old academy lad they were going to release anyway for £500m.

Apart from common sense obviously but you get what I mean, the contract has to be terminated during the window.
