    When he left in the summer of '96, was it us not renewing, or did he want to go back down south (Charlton).
    And he just happened to leave right before the Wilson promotion to the Prem season!. :eek:

    If you had a 1 on 1 against you, you’d want David Watson in goal. If you had a 1 on 1 against your opponent, you’d want Andy Payton to have it.

    Most of them would walk into any team we've had this century, with the exception of Lee Butler. And he was still pretty competent.

    Bruce Dyer - our 11th top scorer of all time, and our 3rd top scorer of the modern era, after Glavin and Redfearn. Yes, he was offside more than he should have been, but 69 goals (including a couple of years playing in two of the worst sides we've ever had) is difficult to argue with.

    Joe was a great determined player but not in Nicky’s class in terms of impacting the game at both ends of the pitch.

    Him and Liddell used to get loads of stick for no reason at all. Both were brilliant players some of the best we have ever had come through the youth ranks.
