I loved the Listeners, no idea what it’s about, don’t care, it was odd and different. Not the usual guns and murders.

I hadn’t a clue what was happening but I must admit the actress Rebecca Hall was very good

Just binge watched Day of the Jackal. Really enjoyed it. Plenty of twists and turns without over complicating the story, and Eddie Redmayne plays a great part.

Glad there are some good comments about Day of the Jackal. Though given we're still watching stuff recorded in 2023, it might be a while til we get to it!

On to series 4 of The Bureau and would recommend. It's a French espionage thriller with a little romance and good female characters so your missus should enjoy.

Remade in the US as The Agency - which I haven't watched.

My next door neighbour is involved in film/tv production. She mentioned The Gold well before it aired, pretty sure she said there was a second series, but I think she's changed companies since.

I had to keep pausing it so me and the wife could have a 5 minute conversation about who the person was in a scene and what they were doing and why!
