I loved the Listeners, no idea what it’s about, don’t care, it was odd and different. Not the usual guns and murders.
Just binge watched Day of the Jackal. Really enjoyed it. Plenty of twists and turns without over complicating the story, and Eddie Redmayne plays a great part.
Glad there are some good comments about Day of the Jackal. Though given we're still watching stuff recorded in 2023, it might be a while til we get to it!
Someone on radio said the other day they had watched the Life on Mars serious again and really enjoyed it.
On to series 4 of The Bureau and would recommend. It's a French espionage thriller with a little romance and good female characters so your missus should enjoy. Remade in the US as The Agency - which I haven't watched.
One of the scenes is based at Wakey nick & in the very last episode he meets an old northern couple who mention Brodsworth.
Better call Saul, The Fall, Dexter, Killing Eve, Breaking bad, Narcos, The Missing, Lost, Hannibal, The Capture, too many to name its finding summat to your taste, if you cant find ought on Netflix then sell ya tellys, good luck an happy viewing.
My next door neighbour is involved in film/tv production. She mentioned The Gold well before it aired, pretty sure she said there was a second series, but I think she's changed companies since.
I had to keep pausing it so me and the wife could have a 5 minute conversation about who the person was in a scene and what they were doing and why!
