Played last 17mins tonight game against Bristol Rovers. Must see something in him that we never saw this season anyway.
He started 8 games for us in the league this season and was brought on as sub a further 11 times. He's played in 19 of our 30 games. There's only been 11 games where he hasn't made an appearance. I don't think 17 minutes for Stockport cuts the argument you're trying to make.
What happened to the Cosgrove from last season's play offs v Bolton? Looked a proper handful and I had high hopes for him this season but he's looked awful. Maybe a different club and coaching staff can get something out of him. We'll see.....
Put himself about over those 2 games, we also supplied great service to him, got his head on the end of 2 to score.
Quite incredible a team with a better chance than us at promotion this season see something in him that we don't.
He's still there but we didn't play to his strengths this season. Instead we asked him to come on and run about which isn't his game and just made him look stupid. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very limited player but I don't think he's as evil as some of us think.
I wonder if in that 17 minute cameo:- He fell over He received the ball on the halfway line, started running back towards his own goal and subsequently gave it away which nearly produced a goal for the opposition Barged into centre halves and gave away about a dozen fouls in 17 minutes. if he didn’t do any of that, then he’s already done better for them than us, outside of 2 play off games against Bolton.

Difficult to know what to do with a 14 stone bag of hot dog puree, crammed into a football kit and given a blonde wig.
Let him stand in the 6 yard box and throw in crosses. Pretty simple. Probably the simplest way a team could be set up to try and score, yet we seem to find it extremely difficult.
Love this forum me Cosgrove was a proper carthorse bar those two games against Bolton. Sometimes I watched him and wondered if he was a footballer he would fall over himself, commit pointless fouls, he was 6ft odd and 5ft when the ball was in the air. Two managers have seen him here and both saw him as a back up player. Only time he's ever really been prolific is his time in scotland. Looked like one of the worst I've seen at oakwell if I'm been honest. It was quite unanimous on here fans wanted him off... goes to stockport.. we didn't use him right, we didn't play to his strengths, not given enough opportunity's.
