And I don’t know exactly how many points difference but wasn’t Collins around 20points at this time of the year to this so called manager
14 points better off at this time last year (31 league games) 6 places higher up the league (4th vs 10th) and a goal difference of +21 then compared to zero now
I reckon we'd have more points this year if we had Devante Cole, Jordan Williams, Herbie Kane, Nicky Cadden & Roberts in goal. IMHO its a very unfair comparison.
Cole and Roberts in first half of last season were ridiculous in this league. They both dropped off a lot in the second half but they’d already won a shitload of games for us.
And no coincidence we dropped off too. Same as this term - our good players play well and we win games. They don't and we don't.
Never understand win percentages used shouldn't it be pts per game? Here's one if everyone thinks it's unfair on Clarke being compared to Collins... Gudjon Thordarson - remember him, really shît on, picking a team up on its arse... P42 W14 D15 L13 PPG 1.36 Clarke PPG 1.31 I can't even find the English spelling for Gudjon's surname these days on the internet!
Aye. Simple int it. But that’s why I never rated Collins, I think those 2 got him out of jail a lot in the before January and he got found out when we reverted to the mean.
I think it was very difficult when you consider at least half of the team were angling to leave or on loan on reflection. He did a decent job with a decent squad. The frustration is that everyone seems to expect gaffers to perform above that level and its not ever gonna happen consistently.
Collins was kak. Team shape and application was often terrible. As for Clarke I think he might be kak but have not 100%,decided. He definitely seems desperate in tactics/ formations a lot of the time but I think he's also been badly served by the board. But, he may well be kak as well, in which case, if he is its a case of comparing kak with kak. Poo with poo. So the question is if they're both poo, who is the pooist?
