    Serious question.
Since the bins haven't been collected as normal, has anyone reduced the amount of waste?

No. Just increased the number of tip runs we've had to do.

I’ve got bags stacked up in my garden. Doing my head in now. I’ll never catch up if they continue to refuse to take additional bags.

Will be interesting to see if there's a noticeable increase in fly-tipping.

Blue and brown bins are already 4 weekly and they can't even manage that, despite not having the added problem of the green bins for the last 4 months.
Be fun when they restart in next couple of weeks.

Biggest fly tipper in the Borough right now is the Council itself leaving thousands of bloody bins unemptied.

No problems in wakefield as far as I know we've always had bins emptied on time even when area was covered in snow. If they can keep up with bin collections why can't barnsley.

Yes. We have a green bin for garden waste that’s collected every 2 weeks between March and November.

Bloody hell, we pay for ours, just under 6 quid a month ( fortnightly) that's annually so even from Nov_ March we still pay, mine hasn't been used since October tbh, a mate of mine from Cumbria thought I was taking the pi55 when I told him ha ha

I was going to say something similar, believe me Barnsley is way ahead of Pompey ( imo) been posted all over the UK and the places I've been I can honestly say Pompey is the Fart pipe of the UK

Rank bad management, pure and simple. They tried blaming the weather but no-one's having that because the problems started before Christmas.
New management interfering with the way the lads do their jobs is the problem, together with a lack of balls higher up to sort things out.

Me and the lads made it our weekend away match a few years ago been to worse places I must say. You've clearly never been to Barrow in furness now that's grim.

And they've run out of excuses now, so the latest "update" hasn't changed for a fortnight.

Never been mate, but talking about places I've lived, not just been to for a few days, if that's the case then for me it would be Slough

No never had the pleasure of visiting Slough was it the town on the opening credits of the office if so it didn't look great. If it's worse than Barrow not sure I will put it on places to visit.
