Got his debut under Duff in a cup game and got more game time at the start of last season under Collins.

I know he got injured and was then sent out on loan for the rest of the Collins' season.

I saw he was back playing in the U21's but don't think he's been involved in any of Clarke's squads.

Anyone seen any of the U21s and comment on his progress?

I think it was a bit of a freak occurrence that he got a start under Collins in a league game.

Connell was out at the time with his health issue, Russell was on international duty & Benson wasn’t risked as he had just played his first game in months in the previous game.

I don’t get the impression that he was a player that they had particularly high hopes for like they do Jalo & Yoganathan.

I saw him play in an u23’s game earlier this season & I can’t remember him doing anything of any note, good or bad.

Not a patch on Alvin or Simon.

    Thanks Django.

I agree his start was down to lack of numbers but for both Duff and Collins to give him game time - however little - ahead of the other names you mentioned made me think that there might be player there.

I seem to recall that he didn't particularly impress in his brief appearances but neither did he look out of place (unlike some of our recent signings).

He's still only 19 so he's still got a little time on his side though you'd hope he'd be impressing for the u23s.

Sorry to be a pedant but under 23’s aren’t a thing any more. It was until maybe 4 years ago, something like that?

Academy football is under 18’s and under 21’s.

I am more concerned that Vimal is again an unused sub even though we loaned him to non league. He should be starting week in week out at that level.

That seems to happen a lot with our loans. You would think we would be able to find them a loan where they would be playing most games.

I've been wondering where Chapman has been. Didn't see any of his appearances but I remember people were generally pretty excited about him. Seem to remember he got injured.

Is he just not rated highly by Clarke then? I guess as an attacking mid he's in the only position where we have options.
