Just don't expect a satisfying ending. It heaped mysteries on top of mysteries until there was no way out.

I've just watched a 17-year old lass, earning her 3rd cap for the USA, score an absolute screamer for her first international goal.

Hopefully, she can get to Rotherham for Saturday.

2023 was a grim year. The reason why we're moving out of London, so we can be on hand in minutes rather than an hour plus each way. We'd been talking about it for a while but couldn't find an area that suited, then on New Years Day we got a call from the home and her Mum had effectively closed down, wasn't eating, talking, washing. So thats when we decided we needed to do what we didn't want to and be much closer.

My wife's not bad, thanks for asking. Though putting her parents in a home together still weighs very heavy on top of everything else and still being cautious.

Me neither to be honest, on an evening, the missus tends to be worn out by about 9pm (though she is often up at 5am) so I watch something for a couple of hours. Usually a pretty easy going film or something like Friends or whose line is it anyway. I saw this was on a few days ago and decided to record it.

It's very sad, but beautifully written and the acting by Hopkins in particular is very powerful. My wife's Dad has early onset dementia though to be honest, apart from forgetting things now and then, you wouldn't know, it's his Parkinson's that can be more debilitating, though he started on a new drug a few months ago and his mobility (he used to 'lose' his legs in the afternoon) has hugely increased, though the trade off is his muscles gain a bit of exaggerated life of their own.

I would recommend the film though, even though it's a difficult topic. It's not jolly at all, but I would say there are some lovely moments that reflected what I've seen as a witness from close quarters.

And things aren't too bad, though selling and moving will be another emotional wrench for my wife and I'm hoping she won't feel too guilty about moving out of London because of her parents.

All part of life's tapestry though.

Yeah I read it ends up losing its self and creates sub plots within sub plots, and then appears to have a damp squib of an ending. Unfortunately this information came about when I read a review on line midway through the second series but was already hooked by then lol

It started off really well… so many questions, only leading to more twists and more questions. But by the end, they created so many questions, they closed off possible endings and some key things they just sort of forgot about. Shame, because it was a brilliant concept that just ran out of road.
