AP Property Services York. Making a living out of taking advantage of students. Don’t think I’ve ever felt so much rage about a company. Just a look on their reviews tells you all you need to know. If only my daughter had done that before renting one of their properties.
Evri going out of business would have a devastating impact on our town. (although I do agree their service can be poor).
My grandson has reserved a joint tenancy in York to start this summer through Adam Bennett Lettings and all dealings have, so far, been good. I’ve not come across AP Property Services but will spread the word so to speak
Definitely give them a wide berth. When the owner isn’t stalling on giving back deposits for spurious reasons, he’s online mocking students and parents for complaining. Awful.
Emirates. Totally abandoned their customers as soon as Covid started. Don't follow European airlines guidance. Think they're invincible. Tif group travel insurance companies, eg. Covered2go. Cheap policies, but wait 'till you claim.
I've just spent 1.5 hour of my life listening to a sales guy from a company called Home Logic try and do a hard sell for solar panels and batteries. I should have googled them before I agreed to the appointment. I think he thought he would come in, overcharge me by thousands and take the first quote given to me. He didn't even get as far as quoting when we told him we wouldn't commit to anything until we had 3 or 4 quotes. I am a little annoyed with myself for wasting my own time Does anyone have any recommendations for solar panel / battery storage companies?
Sadly, I think that says more about the people who buy such things than the quality of the product or the morality of the organisation.
Talking about Amazon, don't you find it annoying if you, for example search for 40" Samsung telly to be given your first few options of other brands and other sizes?
Only it isn’t. Publicity stunt. Reform U.K. LTD has been turned into a ‘not for profit’ organisation with no individual with significant control. Tice and Farage no longer have significant control - but remain directors. A new company, Reform 2025 LTD, has taken over as the only entity with significant control of Reform UK LTDq. Reform 2025 LTD has only two directors - Farage and the multimillionaire Reform backer (Muhammad) Zia Yusuf…
The market for solar and batteries is so healthy that the good companies have work coming out of their ears and don't need to go cold calling like rogue carpet cleaner salesmen. The work comes to them. I wouldn't have even entertained them.
More to do with the fact that there’s a huge Evri distribution centre in Hoyland, not that there aren’t other delivery options available.
So you don’t know then? It’s potentially very dangerous bandying around assumptions as fact Ian. Will there be more guilty people? Probably. But there have been people tarred with things who are completely innocent, with a huge assumption made of guilt, and there will just as likely be a lot more of those than people actually guilty. Having had a friend accused of something heinous - having had absolutely nothing to do with the person in question at all - and seeing them tried by public and still having things said now despite never having any case to answer, be that legally, morally or in any manner; seeing him lose friends, a partner and his living - a lot of hurt can be caused to a lot of people just by making one false accusation which ends up snowballing.
And yet they are shining beacons of reliability and accuracy compared to Yodel - I don’t understand how they are still in business.
Sky. Killed football as we knew it. And… Sky. Give them access to your bank account and they will legally pickpocket you until you manage to escape. These dodgy Firestick things feel like a very small revenge. But still revenge nonetheless.
Ahh ok, well I didn't know that. But as you also say, there are surely other options/companies to use. Whether they are better or worse though (Troff mentioned Yodel for example), thats all down to opinion and/or experience.
