But its not exactly a big compliment to Victor (or any player) saying that. And in fact, it sounds more sarcastic really.
Saying somebody was/is really poor, but he might be better than the current lot we have.

As has been said and admitted on here, about a thousand times now.
Sadly though with players like Victor, there's always a 'But... ', at the end of it.
He didn't have a scooby where the net was!.

But neither do our strikers I've provided the stats humpries minute per goal ratio is very similar both played a similar amount of minutes too this season.

I'm surprised nobody has started a thread yet, about a 'Most hard working all time Reds team' lol.
Vic might get a place on the sub's bench.

Every player who will ever play for barnsley again will have a major 'but' against him mate. Personally, I think we have a need for a hard worker, who can hold up the ball and harass defenders - something none of our strikers do. As I said in my earlier post, I think we could have an upgrade in that area over Vic but as I say I think we are missing someone of his ilk.

I'd rather take into account the amount of minutes per goal. He was better than woodrow in that category from open play. In 21/22
Says he's played 26 games for Bolton but only the equivalent of 13 in actual minutes. Just pointing it out, not that I'd want him back. We need goals not just graft.
Good honest and likeable player though. Val used him well.

I wonder if he still wears that bandage on his wrist he's been wearing for the past 5 years or so.

He was a useful squad player who was rarely injured. We could definitely do with a forward like him with his physicality right now.

They used to say about players like Vic that his second touch was a tackle!
