Steve Evans has said that he agreed with the penalty decision, but said they should have had one just before half time. Was he watching a different game? I was watching and it looked as though their player dragged ours to the ground in our penalty area…not the other way round

he has the second highest number of assists in league 1 - so some of his decisions must be alright I guess

Seen them given. But as for the two we didn't get - absolutely farcical.

That’s fair enough. I kind of get where you’re coming from. And as I say, I’ve nothing against anyone who gives their all.

Opinions thought Russell played okay. Humphrys doesn't move to the ball, half heartedly closes down, doesn't challenge for balls. Like having nothing up front and still only 4 goals all season. Can't belive fans sing his name must be easily pleased.

Looked like a raffle winner too weak. Tried but that's it.

Robbo was great. DKD’s commitment is shining through. Honourable mention for Phillips.

We're getting better then, last week we turned a set piece in their final third into a goal for them. Onwards and upwards

The linesman wasn’t. There’s no way he didn’t see it.

Bottle job or cheat, take your pick.

Was it? I thought he was feeling his groin?

Must have just been scratching his knackers…

    Russell is disgraceful.

Ducks out of aerial challenges, jumps out of fifty fifty challenges.

He moves beautifully on the ball but he’s a passenger out of possession.

I thought it was Magic Johnson in their defence.

You really don't rate Russell you seem to be on him consistently. Broke up play plenty today. My only complaint is he doesn't move the ball fast enough at times when he's on it.

The problem we have is upfront imo. Humphrys offers nothing consistently and has less goal contributions than Russell this season.

I thought he made tackles broke up play and won 50 50s today Russell. So checked who scored. Won more tackles than luca and had a higher pass % according to that today.

I think your critism of Russell is embarrassing

3 points. And should have been 3 penalties.

But with our record, 1 out of three is all we are likely to get

Roberts man mountain, and I'm a happy red tonight.

    Not great, but worthy imo

I think he moves nicely on the ball, albeit slowly. He adds something, in possession, and especially against limited opposition.

But I’ve also seen him go half hearted into every fifty fifty challenge he’s gone into and never win any of them, and be well over six feet tall but about five foot when he jumps. It’s like he’s scared of properly challenging. I’ll accept anyone having a poor game but trying their best - I can’t condone just being weak.

Connell was poor on the ball at times today so I don’t doubt Russell’s passing stats are better - but he got Russell out of the shi.te more than once with covering runs to make up for him basically pussying out of a tackle.

I think anyone defending that is embarrassing.

I thought he broke up play on many occasions today. I looked at the stats they backed up what I saw.

A few weeks ago you blamed him for the goal at Stockport where he challenges for a header the ball breaks free in midfield. Connell should be challenging for the 2nd ball but the man has time and space to play there striker in. But Russell gets the blame as no one wanted to highlight connell not challenging for the 2nd ball.

He's no where near as bad as your making out. The most frustrating player on the team for me is Humphrys at the minute.

All our midfield show glimpses during a game but not one of them are good enough to dominate a game and Russell especially isn’t mobile enough although it doesn’t help them when our movement upfront is non existent apart from DkD

I’ve never said he’s the worst in the team. And he does add something; his goal the other week is testament to that.

But he runs back out of possession likes he’s running through treacle, he is always half hearted in a tackle and he is reliant on those behind him, be it Connell, Nwakali or the defence, to cover his deficiencies.

Yes I did call him out for the Stockport goal. Yes there was plenty of opportunity afterwards to defend better - doesn’t make his challenge for the ball any better though does it?

Anyway, we’ve won. We’re not arguing over too much.

I’ll tell you something we agree on. Stephen Humphrys. He isn’t a centre forward so it’s a bit harsh judging him as one - but he isn’t half a work shy lazy sod. First half was like watching walking football, there was never any movement off the ball and he was the worst of the lot. Only time he bothered to move he got the ball short, pinged a lovely ball for Phillips and we were unlucky not to score. But he clearly couldn’t be arsed before and after.

Up front is of course the biggest issue. If only we’d had two full transfer windows to sign a centre forward, we might have actually got one…

We will have to agree to disagree on the 1st half of that. No players going to win every ariel challenge that stockport goal luca was the closest to the 2nd ball his job is to pick up those or at least make a challenge.

Yes that was the only positive contribution he made today the ball to Phillips. I think he has the talent just extremely lazy. Not judging him on been a center forward but effort takes zero talent and he's a disgrace at times and as many goals as russell this season isnt great either. Least he won't have to wash his shirt tonight.

    Enjoy the win.
