Just been reading that Man City are going to sell around 8 aged players in the summer including Stones.Should we have him back until he retires
Nailed on to rejoin Everton I reckon.... It's a shame that he's barely 30 and his body is already packing in.
Maybe his legs are doing an impression of Hourihane's lol. In his early 30s, and the legs have gone!.
He's looked laboured for a while at City. This will be his last season at City. Like others have said Saudi league for mega bucks for his pension to buy Barnsley FC
He'd fit in Italy perfectly, much slow, much less physical (though it has improved in those areas in recent years) and hopefully less tiring on his body. Such a shame about injuries. He was the either the best or second best defender in the world when City won their treble. Stones in that CL final was unplayable.
Ruined by injuries sadly. Nobody notices that much because the absences are here and there, but he's only played a similar amount of minutes over his PL career to Luke Shaw. He was imperious when City won the treble, but due to his injury record he'll only ever be regarded as one of the best when he could have been the best, full stop.
I’m saying one big one for him. Wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up at Atletico Madrid with Simeone based on previous comments from both parties. Fair play to him.
30 years old and only played 272 league games. 13 seasons at an average of 20 games a season. Total waste of a career.
It’s only a waste if he spent his time sat on the bench or reserves. He’s been first choice for the most part it’s just injuries that have done for him. City generally carry a small squad & don’t have a lot of injuries so it’s unlikely that he would have played much more at another club.
