[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]Ok then when I look at how he plays with my eyes I see a player who is poor and has little to no effect on a football match
I take it back, you do need your eyes testing… Either that or your understanding of the game is exceptionally basic.
Well that makes 2 of us doesn’t it ? Cos I certainly am not thick my friend. Anyway goodnight and have a lovely rest of the weekend x x x
As daft as it sounds I would put Watters in Connells position if fit.He can track, tackle and has bundles of energy.Thoughts people?.
Mr Davey, you have learned nothing from playing Robbie Williams in central midfield away at Sheffield Wednesday.
Kiz, please explain why ? my methodology is that both Russell and Kelechi can't or won't put a foot in.They are decent players at this level however we need a player in Connells absence who can break up play.
Because, although I don’t know you and this isn’t a personal attack, the guy has worked with people who have way more football knowledge than you and I. They have seen he’s a striker, they have better judgement than us.
I think you answered your own question tbh. Watters would be less able to play in midfield more so than woodrow was imho. Whatever folk think of connell of late that's his natural position it wouldn't be Watters..
Max. Yes he can and does track. Can he tackle? No. A tracker but not a tackler. Just watch next time he plays.
I’ve criticised Connell plenty in the past, and don’t understand the love in. However, I will say he covered every blade of grass umpteen times over yesterday. He blocked, tackled, got back, his engine and passion was fantastic. Do we have another midfielder who will do that role? I suspect not. On that basis alone he will be missed. His passing, decision making and set piece taking is non league level mind.
