All the predictions are that the AfD are going to come a comfortable second. And the same could well happen here, or worse, in 4 years time with Reform, unless the government get a grip on immigration numbers.

From what I've been reading it looks as though Scholz will be gone, which is good news for Ukraine as Scholz' priority seems to be hoping that the war will blow over without him having to upset Putin too much, and Germany can pick up where they left off with cheap Russian energy.

 

What's wrong with the immigration numbers then? Who's going to do all the crap jobs in the NHS?

Labour should forget about immigration and concentrate on closer ties with Europe, this will attract more floating voters from the LibDems and Tories than it will lose to Reform. Fix the NHS and get the economy back to what it should be and Fartage and his fascists are screwed.

I was saying that I think your forecast is wrong for the reasons I gave. My question about immigration wasn't meant to be an insult to you personally. People like Fartage have successfully moved the narrative so that it is now accepted that immigration is somehow wrong.

 

As well as Farage and his crew there are a silent majority of people worried about the levels of immigration and those in power need to recognise that fact. I'm not talking about the send them all back section of society I'm talking about those who just want a sensible managed system and an end to mass illegal entry of undocumented mostly young men who we have no idea of their background or intentions.

The official statistics say that about 33% of asylum applications were rejected in 2023 and asylum seekers in small boats are only 6% of all people who arrived in the UK. The illegal immigrants therefore represent 2% of all arrivals. So your 40,000 in all likelyhood represents only 13,000 illegals. The government is now starting to process the backlog of asylum claims and has made much of the deportations it has completed. I would say that the "problem" is under control so there is no need to turn to the shyster Fartage to solve a problem which literally does not exist.

I don't know where you got the figure of 40,000 from for the period of 7 weeks since New Year, the actual figure is 1,554, and was less than 37,000 for the whole of 2024. This sort of misinformation is really unhelpful mate and only took me 2 minutes of google time to refute.

Another idea would be to stop involving ourselves in the US and Israel’s conquests in the Middle East. You know, and then maybe there wouldn’t be so many Syrian, Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan refugees risking their lives on dinghies.

Also, @portsmouth tyke - try doing some of your own thinking and find genuine statistics to support your locked in agenda. Your figures aren’t even a tiny bit close to the actual numbers.
