actually said to my wife he would have done better ducking it and letting it go out for a throw in on the far side to waste some more time,

I think he's an okay league one player. Mid table at best. I don't think he's good enough for a proper promotion push personally. He certainly works hard getting up and down the wing but far too inconsistent with his crosses (though he did put a proper beauty in today), and his defensive positioning is non-existent at times. Id be fine with him being our back up wing back, just don't think he's good enough full time mate.

I'm just glad a grabbed a bottle of wine tonight. My TV may have found a new place in the front garden otherwise.

But when nipping to fill up, I had to keep checking skysports app for subs. And tbh I thought he'd gone off too.

I’ve struggled to forgive Jon Russell for his (lack of) effort at Wembley when he allowed Windass to sprint past him as he ambled back.

I’ve tried to forgive him this season, and he’s grown on me a bit. He’s clearly a talented lad and can be head and shoulders above most midfielders in this league on his day, but he genuinely disappeared for a large part of the match this evening. Nowhere to be seen.

The last 10 was also crying out for a forward who could hold the ball up. Sadly we don't have one of those at the club with a oz of strength.

We did have an opportunity to keep in the corner for a while.

But Phillips thought better to whip one over to Russell for that header.

I think he's had a good season on the whole this season. He's scored as many as Mr Humphrys has for a start.

Yes I know that every time watters got the ball he lost it. Humphrys is the same. Could have done with a strong player to keep hold of the ball up field while we got out abit. Give the defence a rest.

Chasing the pack and nothing to lose might be the best thing for our players.

Thank you Frog. I'm sure that MdG isn't as good as I like to think he is, as I always stand up for him. However, I do know that he is nowhere as bad as the pile-on crowd here make out every minute, of every game,

Gotta disagree, he thinks he has the class to come running out of defence with the ball and normally either ends up getting tackled or turning to pass back. He is also so easily overpowered and outpaced. L2 player at best along with Farrugia.

Exactly. Mladen’s shrewd loans aren’t exactly doing us much good so far are they? There’s no outlet when we’re under the cosh.

I really want to get re-excited for a play-off push, but after the last eight games or so, including the last two wins, I just don't see the quality or consistency. The two wins have been very welcome, but not convincing in any way.

I still feel for Gent. He was looking good earlier in the season but I think DC’s treatment of him has killed his confidence.
Not seen anything so far to suggest Farrugia is any better. Both long term projects I suppose.
