? it is near the end of the season, and the game is irrelevant to the promotion chase.

He’s joint 2nd in League for Assists.

I know it’s not all about the stats, but can’t ignore them.

I think he’s probably a reasonable fit for us - good enough but not too good that he’ll bugger off and join someone else

Just finished watching. What a dreadful game of football.

Im not sure how we ended up winning that, and I’m not sure how we made it a close thing against a woeful opponent.

Positives, Dunn hit an ok shot which the keeper should have done better on. Humphrey’s was lively at times and a quality assist and Roberts aside from a couple of wobbles did his best to keep the idiots either side of him in check.

Definite red, lucky Russell didn’t give a pen away at the end.

We got 3 points, thank god it’s over.

He actually got back and put an excellent tackle in, but was unfortunate that the ball went straight to their unmarked player. Unmarked because our defenders had gone back to cover the goalline, so I’m not blaming them for leaving him, but it was unlucky that the ball went straight to him nonetheless.

Phillips blasted an absolute sitter over the bar to win it a couple of minutes before they scored.

Played well - I do worry if he can play 3 in a week though. Crocked him last time.

In fairness he blocked the first shot after he gave it to them.

Have to agree, time after time he does something erratic or stupid and the basics for a defender he lacks. I don’t see a single redeeming quality in him and the only surprise is some people do.

    Hardly.

We were 10 points off top 6 2 games ago.

    Gap is now 4 points.

Over the course of the season Humphrys is top for been dispossessed someone posted the stats last week.
So that speak for himself he's not the hold up player we needed when we were under the cosh.

Watch him prior to that he seemed to just stop. Very odd as it was clear the keeper was getting nowhere near it

I think he's in the side to keep the RCM fit after he's lost the ball in advanced positions.

3 maybe a lot I agree. But his efforts Saturday and towards the end today, surely dispell the myth they have gone.

Some players aren't putting in half the effort he does.

He's had a wobble here and there I can understand. But he doesn't have competent team mates anywhere near him.

34 he may be. But I believe we are still lucky to have him

Now we have beaten them i hope they stay up. Northampton have a rough ride with their previous owners and him building a house then having it seized by the police and ultimately ending up in prison. Good luck Cobblers.

Yeah we are definitely back in the chase at least, currently 4+ points behind, with 13 games left.
Hudds and L.Orient have just lost two in a row, and we've gained six points on them both. So now we move onto the next match, and then the next, etc!.

I’m pretty sure he’s just pointing out we are closer to the playoffs now?

I somehow knew you’d be sniffing around that comment with a reply.

Jon Russell was ineffective tonight, and, like I said the other day, like he does every game, he chickened out of challenges. Heart of a pea.

He isn’t the biggest problem though I’ll grant you. He’s not high in the list of worst performers. That doesn’t make him good.
