What good will allowing a bully to bully him and empower Putin? Does far more good to let the world stage see that you have balls and care about your country and does a lot of good to remind the American public that under trump they are not safe
Someone breaks into your house, occupying 20% of it. You're told by the bloke down the road that he can bring a peaceful solution but you'll have to give him access to what's left of your back garden and you'll not get any of your house back that's been stolen from you. When you complain you're told you are the problem and that you risk starting a fight involving all your neighbours on the street. Meanwhile the guy who broke into your house is sat downstairs laughing his arse off.
Trump wants them to surrender, let Russia have part of their country and give the US £500 billion dollars worth of minerals. Why would he take a ‘deal’ like that? He doesn’t need to pay the US anything to surrender and he’d probably rather Putin have the minerals than Trump at this point. At least Putin isn’t supposed to be Ukraine’s ally whilst trying to publicly humiliate him and openly supporting the enemy every chance he gets.
The only people trump is allies with is other rapists, other homophobes and other racist Nazi pieces of ****.
I’ve always respected Zelenskyy. What he’s had to deal with is beyond the realms of what a human should have to contend with. Today… my respect for him has burgeoned even more. What an extraordinary individual and an incredible leader. He deserves so much better than the support he’s been given.
I'll go back to what I said a while ago, it's such a shame Trump wasn't fatally shot at that presidential campaign rally. The guy is ******* nuts and yet the other day you had Starmer tickling his ******* balls (awaits @Stephen Dawson's reply)
I remember Corbyn & other figures making the point in 2022 that they would need to strike a deal with Russia & come to a settlement. They were bombarded with abuse calling them Putin appeasers & much worse. Now we’ve got politicians who were pro-war doing a 180 & wanting a settlement. We’ve been fed propaganda for years. Many on here fell for it. Stats saying that Russia were losing anywhere between 5 & 10 men for every Ukrainian that died. ‘Russia only have enough resources for the next 2 months’ etc. I’ve no doubt Russia was pumping out similar nonsense but with the figures the opposite way round but the truth is & has always been that Russia doesn’t have to keep begging for money to fund this. As we know Putin isn’t going to lose an election anytime soon. Zelensky has to beg different countries for fund’s & ammunition to keep the war going but these countries are up **** creek financially & people will vote their governments out if their bills keep going up & their public services suffer to fund a war happening thousands of miles away from them. It’s ****, I think we all wanted Ukraine to win & drive the Russians out of their country but it’s going to be a negotiated settlement with significant amount of land lost. The people who were demanding an end to the war in 2022 were right. They should have been listened to. How many hundreds of thousands of men on both sides have been killed & incapacitated? I feel for Zelensky. He was told to fight by Biden & Johnson. I don’t think any of this is his fault. Ultimately he’s in a position where if America says jump he asks how high. He’s gone from an American leader who in my opinion wanted to weaken Russia as much as possible to one who wants to be its ally. There’s no way Europe will step up & make up the shortfall if America’s backing stops. I don’t know enough about every European country but I know ours, France & Germany’s population are sick of their increased living costs & it can’t carry on getting worse.
I'd rather make cut backs in the name of freedom than sit at oakwell on a Saturday knowing that I've allowed a sick genocidal freak to murder and steal a country.
You & me both but we don’t speak for the entire population. Biden’s been voted out. Labour are dying a death. On the subject of genocidal freaks I don’t think ours & America’s leaders supporting Netanyahu & Israel’s genocide has helped Ukraine’s efforts. Ordinary people are understandably sceptical about their leaders motives.
I agree that they haven't helped at all. I hate that our countries support Israels war crimes. And I know we don't speak for everyone but I personally would happily cancel my season ticket, my sky TV and a few other luxuries to see peace in Ukraine rather than having all of those and knowing I was too selfish to makenany sacrifice while people have died for nothing
i cannot believe what i have just watched. What a big baby. Hasn't had his arsed kissed so gets told to leave.
Another thing about Trumps little paddy today. He again got away with saying that the USA is into Ukraine to the tune of $350b, when other sources estimate it’s more like $120b. It matters little for him to be fact checked, even to his face in public. He just carries on in the same manner, quoting the same numbers to make them suit his cause. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crew8y7pwd5o.amp The most frustrating thing is no one on his side seem to care as long as it ‘upsets the libs’. I find it exhausting.
Yes, we are sick of increased living costs all over Europe but the world has changed and I am afraid I believe that European countries, including the UK, are going to have to get used to the idea that we are on our own and we are going to have to deal with that, whatever it costs, for the sake of the whole continent. The US have made it clear that they are not willing allies any more and right now, I think that NATO as a result, is irrelevant. If an emboldened Russia attacked a NATO country such as Poland next week, does anyone believe that the US would be there upholding their commitment to NATO? I don't trust that to be the case any more.
Not a chance. The rapist has already proven that he has no problem ignoring international law. He doesn't even have a problem unilaterally rewriting American laws
Maybe there is something in the codename Krasnov a certain person allegedly inducted into the KGB in the 1980's;
I found it nauseating that he effectively treated a visiting president like a naughty schoolboy in public. "Now have you said thank you to the nice mister president. I didn't hear you". I am convinced it was stage managed to engineer the outcome they wanted.
