Once again, repeating the same ******** I’ve said in last home games from this season. Control, control, control. 3-0 up & cruising, completely lost control - just like the game against Crawley when Clarke made daft subs’ & let them back in the game. 4-1 up, still no ******* control. Josh Benson. Heart of a pea. Lazily jogging about, not willing to put a foot in. Nwakali - the best thing since sliced bread according to this forum; thank god Connell is back next week. O’Keefe was rightfully hooked at half-time as he would’ve got sent off, Earl - awful in that 2nd half. How many other teams does that happen to? No control after being 3,4,5 up. All comes from the manager. The manager cannot be trusted. Left that game today thinking it’s a defeat. Too many Q’s.
I don't think football is for you. Genuinely, you can't get any entertainment out of it so why bother?
Kind of agree with you that i don't like changing team for sake of it, but o keefe got booked so can understand that one. Also resting phillips because got another game Tuesday night maybe but again Benson doesn't offer the same threat as phillips. Even more frustrating is when he did need to actually change it against Huddersfield when we were under pressure he didn't. So I don't think he's the best with the subs. Our lack of strength in depth is actually worrying though considering Barratt and bland on the bench and a lottery winner from France. That goes up to the top though.
Definitely yes. If you can't take pleasure from grabbing 9 points from 3 games I'm afraid football isn't for you. Try Padel, I've heard it's a good laugh.
Scored 4 and it was great to win but Christ…..that defending in the last 25 minutes. Hard to find the words…..
Of course it’s worth celebrating for a start it might not get any better than three straight wins in a week
You have serious issues mate. Leaves a 4-3 win feeling like we lost. Football and Barnsley fc aren't for you.
My feelings after that were relief and happiness. 3 wins in a row after the season looked over after Huddersfield. I think I’d suggest a different hobby for something you actually enjoy. I do agree about it being good that Connell is back. So many times today their midfield waltzed through ours without a care in the world. I actually thought Benson put himself about more than he usually does today, epitomised by Watters’ goal.
Might I suggest finding some other past time to do because the ups and down of been a Barnsley fan is clearly not for you.
How the op blames the manager for the substitutions and collapse, is not recognising the fact it was the players who screwed up. He agrees to O'keefes substitution. Gents was unavoidable. The others understandable with 4 games in 11days. I'm as disgruntled as anyone. But please lets put the blame where it lies. Poor defending after going 4-1 up. Right back having to switch to left back and he became like a fish out of water. Our right side allowing the second goal to come from ballwatching instead of picking up the runner/goalscorer. The players need to take responsibility, for that, not the manager. Take Northampton. A stupid backpass and an avoidable sending off put us in trouble for that last 20 mins. Let's blame the manager Scott shall we.
We're a very strange team so just try to enjoy the ride Gaz, Clarke deserves credit for 9pts in a week. Charlton is a big game on Tuesday, we need to go there with no fear.
Yes three wins out of three is worth celebrating. Barratt making his debut is worth celebrating. Four different scorers is worth celebrating.
The big positive for me is that we went to pieces after the best players went off. If that happened with Phillips & Keillor-Dunn on the pitch I would be a lot more concerned. The negatives are the squad looks weak. Dexter looks a real poor signing & I’m not sure what Rodrigues gives us. Benson did well for Watters goal but I thought he was terrible aside from that.
