I like the cut of his jib as the the saying goes. He wasn't at fault for the Northampton goal nor any of the three yesterday. Gent for the first couldn't sort his feet out,Earl towing a caravan for the second and two mistakes from Barrett for the third.

Whilst I wish the lad all the best. He has not been tested like Killip. (Who saved us time and again) So to say a damn lot better. Is speculative at the mo.
This is not a go at Smith but your assessment of killip. Who would have been 1st choice and deservedly so. if not sold on, light yrs in front of Solina, who some lauded when he arrived. And dismissed Killip out of hand.

But you've rated Smith over him on just 2 appearances. ? Not 1 save except for a long range effort at Northampton. ( that's not his fault btw as he was far better protected other than the last 20 minutes yesterday.) Time will tell and I hope he smashes it.
No more than most. Imo. And as I say better than Solina whist playing for us. He
(Slonina) was more a liability than any I can genuinely remember.
Killip turned most fans round writing him off before he started.

Being an ex goaly I just don't look at saves, I watch their positioning, kicking everything and sorry again but killip couldn't lace Smiths boots

Having watched goalkeepers for 60yrs at all levels. I think I can also offer a judgement. No need to apologise cos I don't agree with you on killip. As for Smith, what he's done is competent. I'm not knocking him. Time will. as I say tell. Would you choose him over Garcia. ?.
Ask yourself why also. (You couldnt understand) The coach chose killip over Smith. He sees em everyday. And made Smith No2 to Garcia.
Mind you He kept picking or more than possibly had to pick Solina. So what do I know.

Didn't say you hadn't ?. You gave your reason. I was just giving why I have one. Or doesn't it count. Its only an opinion.
And doesn't Clarkes and the other coaches opinions count either.
Nowt would please me more to see Smith become No 1. He may or may not prove to be. Hardest position as I allus say to get established.
I'll leave it at that as we see things differently.

Had a shocker for the Charlton goal tonight.

The @Merde Tete kiss of death. You've got form for this. You were singing Killip's praises in the days leading up to the Orient game!
