I've criticised Watters in the past, particularly when he's made a hash of quite a few very good chances, but I'd never question his work rate. 'Downing tools' is miles off.

Great finish yesterday too, he seems to have an ability to take those harder chances, but give him a sitter and I don't feel confident he'll take it.

    Why couldn't you stand cole?

I don't get the popularity of Humphrys he's scored 4 goals all season is goal per game ratio is worse than victor adebayjos at Bolton having both playing a similar amount most of the time this season he been half arsed and bone idle. Credit though last 2 games the kit man's needed to wash his shirt after so fair play to him for putting a shift in?

Cole was hopeless lazy and soft as turd.

At least Humphrys looks like he has some ability

He was definitely idle and to some degree when he was dropped deeper and knew he was going he downed tools.
Could never understand why we re-signed him he was godawful first spell and not much better second time round

I'm not Cole's biggest fan but he scored 33 goals across two play off chasing seasons. A goal every 2.5 games approx. Yes, he dropped off in the second half of both seasons but without his goals and pressing (he wasn't lazy, he led the press most of the time) we wouldn't have made the play offs.

He had his good games, he had his bad. But he was a decent servant to the club, across those two seasons at least - he was out of his depth in the Championship, although he wasn't alone in that regard. If Humphrys could score half the goals Cole did we'd probably still be sitting pretty in the top-6.

I shouldn’t respond, because it’s Juddy and we couldn’t be more diametrically opposed when it comes to football opinion.

But Cole scored 43 goals for the club.

He had thousands of fans singing his name here as he played a key role in us reaching the playoffs twice. For a free agent, he was a cracking signing and will be remembered fondly by most.

No offence to Humphrys, as he’s a BFC player and I hope he has a good end to the campaign. But he’s scored four goals. In 31 games. I had hair the last time he scored.

Can't agree, top scorer 2 seasons on spin. Always picked by the managers. Could do no right with some of our fans proper scapegoat. And to say you couldn't stand him.is a strange comment.

Ability is pointless if you don't work hard.

While I still believe it was aimed at the board and Watters I have to admit it's still stuck in my head 24 hours later

Cole or even Norwood would get in the starting 11 easy if they were at oakwell now imo

Okay couldn’t stand May be strong but I didn’t like him in a Reds shirt, some players you can’t take to, Andy Saville being another that jumps out, yet I rated Pederson thought he had promise.

I'm not a massive Humphrys fan 90% of games this season he's looked bone idle, scored 4 goals in over 30 games has a worse goal per game ratio than big Vic at Bolton, we was pony at Rotherham away but went off to his name been sang, some must be easily pleased. But I wouldn't say I can't stand him I hope he improves and has last 2 games.
With cole we wouldn't have made the play offs without his goals and press simple as that good signing for us on a free.

A Norwood type player would be the perfect foil for this team.

Yes, and that’s fine. It’s when someone repeatedly posts them as fact.

    Agreed. Talented but bone idle.
I believe he’s on a fair old wedge too

the will grigg song started as sarcasm because he'd scored only 5 goals the season before and then went 20-30 games without a goal or whetever and then he got a few the song started and he didn't stop scoring after that

that song basically catapulted him into being a household na
I wouldn't say Humphrys is overly popular at all I hear a lot of people whinging about him, he's had an up and down season and has been pretty mediocre some good games some bad games a lot of ok games
