Charlton 5th in home league table were 3rd in away league table so id edge for a draw tuesday night which a think will be a decent result for us !
Definitely take a point. They score a lot of late goals and we have a habit of conceding late. That’s a concern for sure. Might need to be 2 up going into the last few minutes.
That's a stonking home record, and a ground we usually don't turn up at. Would be pretty chuffed with a point.
Whilst it wouldn’t be over mathematically, a defeat would be pretty damaging. Four points above us, game in-hand. Biggest game of the season. Glad Luca is back.
The last time we won a Charlton, it was a Tuesday night game. There was a total lunar eclipse that day, which was an extraordinary event in itself, however not as extraordinary as Tom Kennedy scoring a winning goal at the Valley.
Only let in 1 goal in their last 6 home games. They have come a long way since I was there to see Kim Christensen score his one and only goal for us. Speaking of Kim, according to his Wikipedia page he's had much success managing in the NINTH tier in Denmark.
Lose and its over for me. 7 points & GD & played 1 more. That's a huge gap with 11 to play. Can't see it tbh. Get a point then next 5 we plays teams currently in 11th, 16th, 22nd, 15th and 19th. You never know.......
It’s not all doom and gloom for me - not yet anyway. It’s rare we get a win at The Valley but this season’s away form tells me we can do it and then anything is possible.
Tbh they looked poor at oakwell and but for defensive/slonina catastrophic errors they'd didn't look in the game, obviously home form shows different, but we are at the stage of the season where just go for it nothing to loose.
