20th in the league for Key passes last season too. Pretty damn good considering his position - just behind Kane and Hourihane. Shame it doesn't show chance creation mind.
And Callum Styles is playing regularly at left wing-back, and apparently quite well, with West Brom in the upper reaches of the Championship, not that he wanted to stay at Oakwell, of course. The quality of our squad, other than our midfield, is, as is obvious to all of us, a long way below what it was not that long ago.
Cundy was like Bambi on ice. You thought Pines was bad on ball? Jesus wept he looked like prime Puyol compared to Cundy.
Cundy never properly recovered from the hip issue he first encountered when Duff was in charge. Bloke had so many operations, multiple doctor opinions, they could never resolve it. I was surprised a club took him on last summer. Lovely fella and I used to feel sorry for him, Benson and Wolfe. They’d be at the club all the time with little chance of being involved. Some will say “ah, they get paid well” but in reality, it’s not going to last long if they can’t get fit and back playing. Rob was a clever lad though so hopefully he will have a plan b when released this summer. Will always remember that injury time header he scored in front of the ponty.
If you were glad to see the back of Cadden, Kane, Williams and Cole then I don't know what to tell you.
https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=86067 The Cundy who has only managed 11 games this season despite dropping a league.
Not sure why you have taken from my comment that I rated Cundy, can’t pass comments on someone who never played
