Gutted it didn't work out as are we all, hope you get sorted quickly & once again thank you for all your efforts.
I don’t feel sorry for him, but I wish him well. However, the blame seems to have been shifted onto him from the club and that for me is criminal.
I'd hoped he was no fancy Dan that would be poached. I also hoped he would be mediocre enough to achieve minimum objectives to at least for once us having a manager at the start of a season. I've no hard feelings to DC, but I wished it wasn't like this despite how much I ranted watching the performances of late
Sometimes the problem in all your disfunctional relationships is you. The team aren’t performing and he’s in charge - he’s the reason.
I agree to an extent, I don’t think he was the right fit at all. However I don’t think the squad is well balanced and overall it lacks any quality. I don’t think any manager could/can get a tune out of this lot.
At times we looked quite good and others plain awful. In the end that looks like the managers fault for not getting a consistent tune out of the team. The table doesn't lie and had we scraped three more wins (we threw plenty of points away) we'd be in a play off place.
I don't think he was very good, his interviews were strange and even his subs and changes and general management weren't great but he had his work cut out to get this lot into the top 6. People bed wetting but we haven't got anything to lose might aswell give conor a go.
No, but they are keeping the club afloat with their own money. So they are entitled to run it as they see fit, they have got someone in to run the footballing side and as continuity when managers come and go. The alternative is to just let the manager run the club like a mini-fiefdom where they make all the decisions, the problem there is when they go the next man through the door wants the same - not his players not his coaches etc, so you do it all again. But the truth of the matter is despite the fact we are recruiting from a smaller and smaller pool due to money constraints Clarke couldn’t get a tune out of what he was given. He took a sub-optimal team and made them more sub-optimal.
they are the ones on the green bit kicking the bag of wind about, so they 100% should shoulder most of the blame. Some of em have just not put the effort in over 90 mins for many of the games. What can a manger with a small squad do about that? Could bring Pep in and get the same result.
Yeah, seconded, never nice when someone loses their job, even if they won’t suffer financially ( at least in the short term) However, it’s a results based position and they’ve simply not been good enough ( at home). Saw him quite a few times as he was jogging on the TPT near Stairfoot/Kendray. Always spoke as he passed. Best of luck in the future Darryl.
I think our season will turn around now he as gone . Throwing players under the bus for his mismanagement was never going to end well. I blame the one who was picking the team and formation. Who knows this may not have been Darrel Clarke.
