Mansfield hadn't won in 14 games. Hourihane and every single player in a Barnsley shirt today should be utterly ashamed and apologise publicly. Cowards to a man. Seriously, how hard do you have to work to set a team up to lose against a team that's not won for months? Is it not easier to set a team up to not lose? Which is ironically what Hourihane did despite lying in the press about pressing the opposition.
I get the frustration as it was painful to watch but couldn’t this have gone in your other thread where you also called them cowards?
Yeah it could tbf. But I'm upset and hurt by the team I follow up and down the country and I don't think its been stated enough - FOURTEEN games Mansfield hadn't won for before today. Why is it always us?
I get it. I suppose every team probably thinks they’re the most frustrating team but I reckon we have a solid case for it. We absolutely love to end a team’s poor run and strikers’ X amount of games without a goal.
Another team we like to help out, with an impressive winless run! Seriously though...poor today. Ihho I thought there was a 10% improvement on the first half but far too many players were going through the motions...we were slow to the first ball and non existent to the second ball. Congratulations to Mansfield wanted it more and just about deserved their 3 points.
Just talking of first and second balls....there was a point in the match where at 2..1 down we punted a ball into their box their lad booted the first ball up in the air the second ball up in the air and the third into touch (and in the air) for a throw in....with little or no challenge...pub play.
