This league this year must be absolutely terrible given…….

We’re only 9 points behind the 6th place team after what can only be described as a total **** show this season.

Yesterday just felt horrible, fans taking the piss at every opportunity, not leaders on the pitch and another late goal, it’s not often I look forwards to the end of the season but this one I really can’t wait for the last game to be over with.

A feel like a big reset is needed but with any reset, you sometimes can go back before you go forward too!!

 

The quality of the League has been one of the big discussions on this site all season. I think it is truly terrible and out league position bears that out.

Your point about the fans yesterday is interesting. I thought it was quite toxic when we went a goal down but it actually got worse because, as you point out, loads were just taking the Pi$$ out of the Club and the players. The songs/chants. The ‘Ole’s’ as we passed the ball around from the oppositions 18 yard box all the way back to our keeper. - Because everyone knew that’s what we so often do. The farce of having 3 defenders stood next to the keeper as he took a goal kick. On the pretence he might pass to them, when the ‘knock it long to Humphries’ was always going to be the only result. Truly depressing. Anger at the players is one thing. Laughing at them is much worse.

 

Birmingham aside this is the worst quality league one in many a year.

I really can’t see how anyone thinks the standard is better this year.

Wrexham aren’t great. The four teams currently in the playoffs are bang average at times. Wycombe are ok but not technically great. Charlton and Stockport are not strong.

Huddersfield have at times been woeful. They have four points from their last six home games - three of them came yesterday. Prior to yesterday, they’d not even scored a goal at home this calendar year. And they’re sixth in the league.

 

And we`re worse than all of them.

 

Wrexham would’ve been nowhere near the top 6 in 2022-23 season. The team we had then would’ve been comfortably second this season too. It’s a very poor league and we’ve just lost 8 out of 12.

 

Just hope next season we don't have any moneybag clubs spending £40m to buy the league
