Wait for the fall out! Mates £249 season ticket going up to £439 for probable league one football. They are not happy!
If only there was a way of making season tickets a reasonable price .... oh wait, there is, let's make some cleaners redundant.
I don't know what fuss is about I still get my ticket for £15 and George's for nowt when he's old enough.
I agree but stomach churning when looking at massive increases. Bradford have increased theirs by huge amounts. Both will be interesting, in the sense of how many would have got tickets in normal circumstances and not huge unsustainable discounts.
Bradford’s have been cheap for years but have been increased by up to 35%. If they were ever going to put them up then I guess this is the time while they’re riding the crest of a wave, looking promotion certs.
Both Hudds and Bradford have inflated attendances due to their cheap season ticket deals they did years ago. Trouble is, it just doesn’t work out and costs the club more money. Never was going to be sustainable. And any fans thinking it was, in today’s climate, are deluded.
It's way out of hand everywhere. Football in general is in a vortex of self destruction with costs spiralling out of control, a bit like life in the UK right now. If Hudds and Bradford are banging up their prices they must feel confident that they can at least maintain income equilibrium. But at the cost of looking at thousands of empty seats. Then you get the Man U situation and the hike in s/t prices. Can genuine regular fans afford it there any more or is the club just looking at selling over priced seats to day trippers?
Works out at less than £20 a game. Nett to the club after vat £16. Fans welcome huge discounts but dislike prices returning to something like normality. One player on £10k per week is roughly 1500 season tickets. Not hard to see why football finances are in the toilet.
Players wages are killing the game. It can’t continue. Clubs in the lower leagues are going to struggle to survive and this Sky deal will only make things even worse.
