This is far from the worst side in living memory.

Conor Wilkinson and Alex Kiwomya would walk into that side.

 

How recent, is recent ehh lol. And does this also include loan players, who were a bit rubbish.

 

The side that nearly got relegated to the bottom tier during the admin years was far worse than the current lot. Dark days. However, if the current downward trajectory continues then who knows.

 

How can leave out O'Keefe?

 

Because frustrating as he is, he's absolutely miles away from being one of our worst ever players. He's just massively inconsistent. O'Keeffe on a good day would be a solid Championship player. When he's bad, he's National League level. Out of 10 games he usually has 2 good, 2 bad, and the rest - meh. Mid-table in the 3rd tier is about his level overall.

Any worst side has to include the dynamic defending duo of Gibbs and Flynn.

Worth pointing out that Malden’s stats show they should have been in the Champions league.

 

Because Tom Kennedy makes O’Keefe look like Cafu.

 

A little bit off topic but a few months ago I received a message on LinkedIn from a recruitment firm, the bog standard 'would you be interested in this job?'.

The guys name was Paul Gibbs. I thought to myself it was surely just a coincidence but lo and behold, it was THE Paul Gibbs. I'm pretty sure he was in quite a senior position too, so he finally found something he was good at.

As has already been said, the period 01/02 and 02/03 was rough.

 

Whether it was or it wasn't, one thing it certainly isn't is recent. It's nearly a quarter of a century ago. Nobody under 30 will remember it.
