We don't have a coherent side full stop in my opinion. We desperately need a striker, a proven one. However, we're so deficient literally everywhere else on the pitch that the striker situation becomes moot. We're terrible. Unfortunately we have owners so utterly clueless and inept that they think we're good. It's honestly getting to the point where I don't even want to watch them on the TV. It's that boring and pathetically bad.
To be fair hes been injured mate. Did very well when coming on. Wish he'd stop going down too easily but that's my only criticism. Id definitely start him now. Lewis and Jalo on wings, pace and trickery. Thought bland played well that second half too, other than that suicide throw in to Flavell
thanks. Just as well judging from the match day thread. It reads as if mid-table mediocrity is too good a description for us. No new head coach bounce for us, not even a dead cat bounce.
yeah top priority for next season is sorting this defence out - it's absolutely woeful they are like bamby on ice - Bland did very well for me tidy on the ball sensible decisions and makes forward runs but I'm told he's actually a midfielder?
He played centre mid for us at Oakwell when we lost against Man U U21's in the Mickey Mouse earlier in the season. I believe he is a midfielder. I can understand with him being a young lad and a bit overawed, but he did well despite that. However, 90% of his passes where square or backwards, even when in space. Although that is literally our entire approach so I can't really fault him for that. It's just... Meh.... The whole Club.
Bland and Jalo head and shoulders above their more experienced team mates they actually wanted the ball and tried to go forward not backwards or sideways maybe it's time to put some more academy players in the side instead of the failures that are going through the motions and don't appear to give a ****.
I don’t know what the bigger embarrassment is there. Is it scraping a draw at home to the team second bottom with a barely deserved injury time equaliser? Or was it the over the top celebration running off like he’d just bagged the winner in a cup final, as opposed to getting the ball, getting it back to the centre spot and resetting to try and win the game? Maybe just me, maybe harsh. But that celebration was a joke.
As stated many times, it is not a lie. It is the way attendances are calculated across most sports in the world.
We know he has. I'm talking about pre-injury, dipping him in and out and all that ********. Hassell told Collins he needs 10/15 mins to get into the game so we continued to bring him on in the final minutes... Bizarre management of him.
Tiny bit harsh, I think, seeing as it's his first goal for the club and it came in the 92nd minute. You'd expect a word with him afterwards from the coach, but nothing worth bothering too much about given our prospects for the season.
Most people on here who stick up for MdG, myself included, don't think he's awesome. However, he is nowhere near as bad as all his vocal critics on here make out.
