There is no lie. It's how it's measured at every sporting event.

Wouldn't say he's awesome, but certainly not sh** like some say.
    Gets stuck in IMO
Pines is the weak link here and at fault for the goal.
MDG too slow than some attackers so gets caught out too often.

Thats because we play a very high line. Roberts has tonnes of experience but is also constantly caught out mate. Why aren't people mentioning the block Mael made earlier on in the game? Tracked back and blocked the shot, proper brilliant old school defending yet doesnt get a mention. He doesn't reach a really **** pointless over hit pass though and he's **** again all of a sudden.

I get that it was disappointing, but I thought it was loads better and I was pretty close to almost enjoying it yesterday.

Cambridge had one chance, got a goal and sat back in for over an hour. It was unlucky IMHO & I saw more yesterday than the last few games.

I agree. I could actually see what we were trying to do with the ball. We just needed better tempo and a better final ball. I thought the subs in the second half, and the change in formation, gave us that.

I have to say, a midfield of Phillips, Connell and Nwakali is too samey and one paced. Russell gave us more drive when he came on. Whether that was him or the formation change I don’t now but I’m not sure we should have all those 3 together on the pitch at the same time.

Yep. It felt a bit more structured and coached with some semblance of a system. I'm genuinely surprised by the reaction on here but its a cycle of gloom at the minute.

Are you forgetting the glaring chance(s) they missed (all in one incident) which ended with Digby shanking wide? How they didn’t score I’ll never know. Flavell also made another save at one nil. They should really have been at least two up first half. One chance, one goal is completely false.

It was marginally better second half but we got no more than we deserved with a point at home to the team in second last position.

We were not unlucky. Switching to a back four and getting the ball out to a genuine wide player rescued us a point. Against a team that even when we are out of form we really ought to be beating.

Other than the performances of Bland, Jalo and arguably Flavell, I saw nothing to make me more enthusiastic than most of what has gone before. Their keeper made three or four saves but they were nothing more than routine, he was hardly keeping them in the game.

They were quite entitled to sit back and let us play mainly sidewards and backwards - their best chance second half was probably to let us play in front of them. They weren’t far from being correct - whilst it doesn’t really help them given their plight, a point for them is a much more positive result than it is for us.

We did not play well yesterday, by any measure. We got an injury time equaliser, probably just about deserved, and other than that the closest we came was DKD smacking the bar - which was the one other moment of quality. Even if we’d scraped a two one win, I’d not be too excited for our future prospects.

This season is dead - the question now is do we blood the younger lads who will still be here next season to get them ready, or do we keep playing those who are most likely to be amongst the number the chairman has said will need to be sold this summer to maximise their value and keep them in the shop window? In all fairness the second option is the only thing they really can do.

Results for the rest of this season are a bit of a side issue now. It would be nice to have a bit of a run and finish top eight; it seems unlikely but it is more than possible. But it won’t really make a huge amount of difference.

What the changes to the squad, including the new coaching team, looks like after summer is the only real concern now.

I was much more enthused with yesterday’s second-half performance but then hugely dismayed after the game when my son was verbally abused for clapping the players and coach as they came round towards the East Stand. If ever I do get put off attending it will be by the likes of this one individual than by the team/club.
How dare the fans give encouragement to the team !!!!

Im pleased to see Jalo getting credit for doing what hes normally good at doing. Instead of the "he does nothing when he comes on" type comments.
Now, if only he could just stay injury free for longer!.

Very harsh. We often complain about players not looking interested, having no passion etc. The lad was clearly elated to score his first goal in English football, for BFC. Good on him, let's hope he enjoyed it so much that he'll want to repeat the feeling again and again.

if you're signing players that are excited about scoring the equaliser against cambridge when youre in 11th in the third tier this is exactly why we're here in the first place, we need players who want to be playing top end of championship, I always remember Dean Windass telling his son you don't celebrate goals in 3rd tier, I can't even tell if he touched it looked like an own goal

Yeah I agree it's annoying, and disappointing. And now it's maybe conning him out of genuine free kicks and pens, if the refs are refusing to believe him.
But I've always thought that even if it is set pieces and throw ins that he's good at earning, he always looks like he's on the front foot and trying to make things happen.

What a load of tosh. You celebrate goals whatever level you’re playing at, We’ve seen Some absolute quality goals in this division over the years, and many scored by us. Point is, Jalo made room for the cross, looked up saw our player and put in a quality ball that proved difficult for the defenders to deal with, all it needed was the touch and of course our player to be in there challenging. Things haven’t been great for a while now, but it seems some on here just what to dumb down any positivity. Sad really
