Hey we've avoided the possible banana skin to begin with, under the new Manager.
And we've won our first game, in what admittedly does look like a weak Group.
I want to like and support Tommy Tuchel of course lol, so fingers crossed ehh!.

    Match 1, home v ALBANIA...

Here's Tuchel's after match comments anyway, and Wright and Keane in the studio.

Well that was frustrating, against an admittedly poor negative Latvia team. And for some time, I was thinking are we only going to scrape it by just one goal.
It was a brilliant free kick to break the deadlock though, and you could sense the relief as well when it went in.
We will of course meet better harder teams than this in future, but I hope all of this is a learning curve for Tommy Tuchel and the squad.

    Match 2, home v LATVIA...

I'd much rather listen to Ian Wright talk about us/England, rather than Roy Keane (for obvious reasons of course)!!.
But then again, what were we meant to expect from these two matches, at home, to two poor defensive negative teams.

Harry Kane's near the end of it now isn't he, for next year's World cup. So I'm sure Tommy Tuchel is looking ahead already.
Whether Marcus Rashford deserves it because of his disappointing club form, is debatable. But he does usually play well for England at least!.
I like Declan Rice and I think the best thing he did was leave West Ham for Arsenal, and no offense there to the Hammers!.
And I'm thinking the same now about Jarod Bowen, for his club and Intl career.

I actually thought Latvia tried to go for it abit mate. Surprised me a little. Obviously it didn't happen all that often purely due to their quality, but I thought they showed a lot more than Albania who have a better squad

Yeah you would expect better from Albania, but whether we're bragging or not here... how many of these lower ranked poor Intl teams, are going to come and try to outplay us at Wembley.

True. Always relatively tough to break down teams who just sit behind the ball mate. I do think we improved second half against Latvia. I'm happy enough so far, bits of boring football but that's expected, as long as we don't see it constantly or as long as we dont play 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders like we did under Southgate at times. Annoyed Henderson & Walker went in place of Wharton & Branthwaithe but hopefully in the future they'll be there.

Genuinely worried about when Kane retires. I just don't see a replacement for him. He is a truly world class goalscorer, we don't have anyone else even close to him.

We will have to work around it mate. We have enough attacking talent around the striker to suffice - just need a manager who can actually achieve doing it! Someone will come from nowhere no doubt..! Liam Delap is looking good, alot better than Kane at his age...

Yeah Ricky lol, I'm a big fan of Kane as well, but he was frustratingly annoying in last year's Euros.
But I really think Southgate was wrong there, for playing him as much as he did, rather than Harry himself.
As for who should replace him though, as our new number 9.

Playing against teams who put 10 men behind the ball is always a challenge for any team, it’ll be better when we get into group A of the nations league against teams who actually come out and attack and play.

    2 wins 6 points 5 GS 0 GA

The performances will come, you only had to look at some of the results last Thursday to see some odd results

Yeah hopefully like you say Judy lol, the performances will match the results.
Isn't it weird though, when some of us as fans look at performances or results, as the most important thing!.

Yeah that was completely on Southgate for playing an unfit Kane mate. Shame too because he took some right stick for it did Kane
