Yeah and it would show some ambition at least, making that sort of appointment. Collins was a gamble I suppose, but as it turned out I don't think he was a bad choice after all. Clarke ultimately failed though didn't he, and apparently he was only our third or fourth choice. I'd be pleased to see us make a bold statement by going for Warne or Duff. But I'm not sure if Warne would like the restrictions we force on managers/coaches.
Our fans don't like rigid and efficient though. Collins was constantly abused and eventually hounded out because of this.
Personally I don’t care about the high press attacking football, I just want us winning games, by any means, but with a clear plan that everyone can identify.
