    Those who have been calling for Connell and Phillips to be dropped all season get their wish.

    Tin hats on… Not even sure what shape that will be but a backbone of Nwakali and Russell frightens the life out of me.

    Maybe they were the ones late to training? I know your a massive connell fan but he's hardly had a great season has he. And I don't think anyone's called for them both to be dropped.

    It will be there last year of contract so wouldn't be surprised not sure how much or little we would get.

    I’m not a ‘massive Connell fan’ at all. I think he’s been well below par this season, and he hasn’t been the same since his illness realistically.

    But it is very clear when he isn’t in the team that nobody is prepared to do the graft, the running off the ball, the dirty work, that he does. It goes unnoticed by many who just see his misplaced passes (of which there have been too many).

    Neat and incisive passing is great so long as there is a base to play from, so that we don’t just get walked through and have our bellies tickled.

    I fear with Russell and Nwakali that might well happen. Let’s hope not.

    I think it’s clear we will be selling anyone who we get a good offer for given what Neerav has said. They won’t take derisory offers anymore I don’t think - but he hasn’t skirted round about player sales as an issue. He’s been very clear about it. We will be selling this summer. I think he has sounded deluded in some of his output - but not this; I can see why we’d need to sell, and I admire his honesty about that.

    So I’d not be surprised to see both sold, as well as DKD. Maybe more than those three. We will lose £9million next season as things stand. I wouldn’t like to be funding £750k a month even if I had it. It isn’t sustainable. So yeah, they will likely go.

    Though not playing them seems a little bit daft. It’ll hardly increase their value.
