I think I said upper mid table - eighth to twelfth - so broadly in line with where we are. Though sadly I suspect by the end of the season we will be in the bottom half, just about.
If I remember I thought playoffs. I'm sure there's a thread of here that had a predictions, and most thought somewhere between 6th and 10th. I'm fcked if I can find it though.
With 6 games to go we mathematically can't get automatically promoted (28 point gap with 18 left to play for) I can see us picking up 6 points in the last 6 games really which fetches us to a lofty 9th place without accounting for other results or points gains. I reckon we finish 13th.
It appears I voted seventh to tenth on that poll, so slightly higher than I thought I’d said but marginally. We won’t do as well as I thought either way I don’t think.
I'd said playoffs, if we signed a striker. We didn't, although we signed a goalscorer in DKD, but not an outright striker as well. Didn't expect us to be this far off top 6 TBH though.
Before a ball was kicked, I said play-offs though caveated that with us having a good end to the transfer window which, DKD aside, we didn't have. I feared after the window closed that we'd slip down towards mid-table. It didn't happen as quickly as I thought it might, though a second successive poor transfer window this season has accelerated that descent now. Best case scenario from here is that we appoint a coach in the next couple of weeks, they get a good look at the squad and work out who they want to keep for next season, we put a couple of results together and scrape the top 10. Neerav's comments in the last few weeks though haven't given me any confidence that we'll have a new manager in place by the time I come back off holiday towards the end of May. We actually appointed Clarke earlier than any manager we ever had in a summer window, though surely they can see the benefit in giving someone the reigns now with little to play for.
After 2 playoff campaigns in a row, I expected us to be there again, even though we’d dropped off a bit in the previous one. Certainly didn’t foresee a situation where team and fans had all given up with so many points left to play for.
I remember seeing one League One forecast putting us in the bottom half of the table and thinking that was unlikely. It is a good job we won so many away games before Christmas.
I said 7th-10th - so a better than what we're currently heading for. I think if we'd have kept Clarke, we probably would have achieved that. Even though its not really an achievement.
I said 6th to 12th. Playoffs at best. I repeated it so often I annoyed myself. I obviously hoped for the high end of that, or better! Sadly, we look likely to finish mid table.
I predicted summat on another thread, top 6 i think, to be fair cant remember, but i'm surprised and foooked off at the Teams lack of effort an the Clubs lack of ambition. I will renew my Grankids tkts, an buy the shirts an that'll be my all. UNLESS, summat improves.
