When he talks about ‘top 3 or 4’ squad and his wager that some will play in the ‘Championship or higher’ in coming years, maybe he’s right?

No, I’m not going mad. I’m beginning to think that individually he might be onto something. Problem is, it won’t be with us, or playing along side each other either.

I wonder if some of our players would suit being part of a team, rather than being a load of individuals chucked together, because that’s what they’ve looked like all season, and that maybe why we’ve had to swap and change so much without really getting much consistency.

Would anyone else swap Russell’s showboating & Phillips goals and disappearing acts for a bit of honest dynamism or steel in the midfield? Maybe Connell would be a better player without those two?

Maybe it’s just time this team was broken up to get the best out of its parts?

We are all giving Neerav a hard time, but the questions we are asking are the ones he should be asking the people he is paying. Is he getting value for the money he puts in? I don’t think so. So who is not doing their job?

We definitely have one or two luxury players and not enough of the type that stand up to be counted and put a shift in when the going gets tough.

If it's a top 3 squad why does he only think that one seventh of our squad will play in the championship?

Snore, snore, snore. Anyone got a spare billion laying about?

If not, you're just repeating yourselves.

    Roll on next week's moan.

I’m not suggesting he’s right about us having a top squad. I have already questioned how he could come to that conclusion whilst he’s also saying there are clubs we can’t compete with. I’ve no reason to believe he knows any more about football than me thee or me.

My point is that some of our current players could play at a higher level, but probably not with us, because they don’t work together.

The biggest issue for me is just how much space and lack of defensive nous we have from midfield. It's mental. The defense are left alone constantly, too much space to cover. Connell does a very good job of helping it when he plays, but he's like a 1 man midfield when we're without the ball at times. It's crazy and even crazier is the fact we havent changed it all season.

Sorry mate, but the irony from this comment is mental.

There's certain posters on here who say the same thing, literally the same thing, every few days. Ones which you often concur with.

Such a strange comment yet again from you. On a weekend.

Interesting point. I think they completely undervalue the impact player character has on results. You need to earn the right to play your football in this league and we don’t have the mentality to consistently do that, even if some of the individuals have the quality to play higher individually.

Yet more superb comedy drivel ehh. :D
We can always do with a few luxury players, that get you excited and up off your feet.
But when it does get tough, these are often the ones who go missing.
Like you say Fitz, it maybe just needs a certain player alongside them, who can help their game.
Like Daz 'Norman' Sheridan did for Neil Redfearn.

And a Gwyn Thomas, and a Ray McHale.
I wonder as well if a big reason for Connell having a good first season, was down to Duff and Paterson etc.
But obviously he was hit with the illness last season.

And in any league mate. Unless you’re playing against inferior fitness, you can’t just stroke the ball about. There are times when you don’t have it, and need to dig in and get it back. O’Connell is probably closest thing we’ve got. Nwakale is a clever player and will intercept a pass, but I’m not convinced he’s a big tackler.

Maybe repurpose mad Baz Cotter as a midfield enforcer when hes fit? He’s certainly mobile enough to chase around. :D
