It starts tomorrow and it would be nice if Rory can finally complete the career slam. My pick (to avoid) is Bryson Dechambeau. The top of the leaderboard will be full of Americans as usual. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Masters_Tournament_champions USA have won it 64 times with the rest of the world only managing 24 wins altogether. Can't believe it was 2016 when Danny Willett won it. Seems like only yesterday.
Danny Willetts mam was my maths teacher, she used to always get him up in class and say look how well he’s performing, we laughed her off and took the p*ss, of course. 2 years after I left, and at my cousins prom, Mrs Willett was stood there with the greatest grin I’ve ever seen and gave me the famous ‘I told you so’.
Ha… my ew bets already on the ever modest Mr Dechambeau. He’s reknowned as a big hitter but he’s also a top class putter
I love Masters week. Probably the best tournament of the season. Possibly British Open might argue that case depending what course they’re playing on. Gone for 5 players each way (6 places). McIlroy. Got to do it some time surely? DeChambeau. Seems to reserve his best golf for majors, a bit like Koepka. Morikawa. Seems to like the course. Hovland. Decent player and I love his Spotify playlists. Henley. Basically an outside bet of picking someone with longer odds that seems to putt well.
Shucks. It seems to have been poor weather for recent times whereas years ago it was regularly scorching. If he gets a strong wind behind, he’ll be driving through the greens on par 4’s !!
I've gone Morikawa, Ew extra (top 3) Ew, top 8 Lowry Zalatoris Straka Fleetwood Conners Spaun Love The Masters, always watch as much as I can.
Maverick Mcnealey for for me at 95 / 1 first 10 places 1 / 5 odds, Wife's on Russell Henley at 33 / 1, good luck everyone, enjoy the next 4 days.
Looking forward to watching as much of it as I can. Be nice to see Rory win it. If not him, I do really like DeChambeau so would be happy to see him win.
Fingers crossed we win a few quid Sunday. It would some event to see live, but it's extremely expensive. My old boss has family there who move out of their home for a fortnight this time of year and make a few thousand dollars, which pays for a very good holiday away from everything.
