    We might have no overseas pro at the moment but Dawid Malan putting the whites back on after initially saying he was done with red ball cricket is a massive plus for us.

    Let’s hope the ‘available for red ball cricket when possible’ converts into it being possible all season. Very good batsman.

    I’ll catch up later. It seems that DRS is needed at county level but it’s probably too expensive to operate

    Good grief what an awful decision that was. And will the clown in the icecream man’s jacket come out and explain his reasoning? Willy Eckerslike!!

    The standard of officiating in football and cricket these days is getting worse year after year. Having said that if the snickometer had been employed there and showed the slightest of feather from YJB’s bat then you would have to say “brilliant spot by the umpire”.

    I suspect though that the bat and gloves weren’t even in the same postcode as the ball as it flashed by
