No it was Tony Morley lol.
Does nobody remember him as the number 7, in the early mid 80s, with Aston Villa and England.

I miss old fashioned wingers more than any other position.

Reminds me of a game at home vs Southampton with Gareth Bale at left back getting ripped to shreds by Disco. Bale got subbed at half time.

    Yep.....Eddie Gray and John Robertson.

It might pain me to dwell upon their country of origin.

But then there's whisky, golf, shortbread and Clare Grogan too.

    What a country.

Not the best ever but used to like watching Chelsea when they had Duff and Robben on wings, there matches with Barcelona were quality football.

PSG's two werent bad the other night either.

Remember back in the day I’d have a bet 1-0 Forrest and Robertson to score.
I won a few times but unfortunately not enough to make me a millionaire

Remember he won them the '80 European Cup Final doing that, cutting in from the wing at hitting it from just outside the area.

Another one people forget, or underrate - Gianluca Zambrotta. Electric winger in his formative years and later transitioned to the best wing back in the world, as he grew older, stronger. Exceptional footballer often forgotten because his team had players like Davids, Zidane, Inzaghi, Nedved et al.

Yep Tony Morley was a very good winger for Villa, I think he was no.11 rather than 7 though?

Robben was superb at Bayern. Defenders always knew what he was going to do, i.e. cut in from the right and shoot, but, somehow, they still couldn't stop him.

Eddie Gray for me. Chelsea tried to kick him all over the pitch in that infamous Cup Final and he still ran them ragged.
I was at this match in 1970 when he dribbled his way through the Burnley defence.

I remember that game well. If they didnt drug test him they should have. Best winger for me was John Robertson when at Forest
