    I watched Wilkinson against Gateshead earlier this season. He wasn’t great. I’d still have him over Cosgrove, mind.

    I generally steer away from ex players as a rule. But imo Hammill would bring the best out of some players with his enthusiasm. (Different character to conor i'd imagine, not a bad thing) . He did with the 2015 team, mainly Conor imo. Totally transformed em. But that was as a player. Not sure if he has any coaching badges.

    Edit. Found this from 2020 Chron.

    Hammill would love to begin his coaching career in the Oakwell academy. He said: “I have always hoped to come back to Barnsley at some point. I have been speaking to members of staff there about doing some courses and sessions there in pre-season and I am working towards getting my coaching badges.

    While I'd love to see Adam back at the club, I don't think he'd be anywhere near the first team set-up. Pretty sure he's stated his wish is to work with youngsters. Having spoken to people whose kids have met Adam (including my own nephews), I believe it's something he'd be absolutely exceptional at.

    My Lincoln mate reckons Collins is probably their best January signing ever. We were absolutely bonkers not to go in for him.
