Ronnie missing shots that I’d fancy potting. Two frames pulled back now…

    It's annoying there's 2 close matches to follow but Judd's showing why he's no.1!

Correct. Unless you score you're nailed on to lose.

    Eleven nine Helen.

Ronnie is playing poorly by anyone’s standards not just his, hopefully his head hasn’t gone like it sometimes does.

Switched over now thanks @troff , still got a big smile that Judd's through to the final, playing some excellent snooker. Well done to Ronnie too!

Yes found his class in the last two frames did Ronnie.

That red in the second to last frame was very special.

A pair of lovely looking semis to look forward to.

The all English final is still on.

I’d suggest a Trump V O’Sullivan final, with Judd having too much for Ronnie on Sunday and Monday. I think Judd will beat Williams with a little to spare to be honest.

Sentimentality would like a Williams v O’Sullivan final - but can’t see Trump losing out. Zhao is a great player though.

And similarly to Higgins (though without it being brushed under the carpet as much), his history with the match fixing and betting doesn’t sit well.

At least he didn’t throw games himself - but being party to those who did, saying nothing about it and betting on the games to make money too, is arguably not far off as bad.

He’s paid his due though, so he probably warrants his second chance in the game. I’ll be wanting a Ronnie win in this match though.

Some positive news. It should stay in Sheffix but the current Crucible is too small and too much of a dump for the prestige of hosting the pinnacle of a Sport.

I'm no snooker fan but isn't the whole appeal of the crucible that it's small and intimate? And if you were to sit miles back in a big arena how would you see the ball? On a big screen?

I'm surprised that nobody has thought of building a facility near the crucible which has the cosm technology in it. The one used for football in America (mainly Wrexham games it seems) so that it looks like you're actually there watching it in person but you're not. Seems an ideal way to sell extra tickets while keeping the tradition.

Ronnie not started second session too brightly. He might get tonked by Xintong.

He's been downplaying it all tournament. He's clearly not right. I do think he uses other issues such as his cue tip etc to mask his weakening powers on the table. On his day he's excellent but the other players can beat him now.

I tend to agree. This cue malarky is getting on my nerves a bit too!

Its a shame he's losing to a cheat who shouldn't be playing.
