Best player I’ve seen at oakwell for years and gets very little praise

Give over and give over again.
Bang average at best prior to this season and has had plenty of plaudits since finding form.

To be fair, he's been class further up the pitch

Of that there is no denying, but his defensive side is absolutely gash

Big stretch is that. Much much better when he has no defensive responsibility - as many of us were saying when he got continued playing as DM

I agree but the he's not even been the best player at Oakwell this season, let alone for years. He has had a brilliant season in a more advanced role but literally everyone, not just the OP, has noticed.

11 goals and he looks like he's strolling around like a basketball player most of the time

He might be the only midfielder ever to score double figures for us that I would love to see be given a free transfer.

Clarke really started to get the most out of him this season playing him further up the pitch.

Whoever thought he was a defensive midfielder needs to be kept as far away from football as possible

Whatever you may think we really have to find better if we want ti become a fprce in this league. I wouldnt let him go just yet, but we do need better.

He did it in the championship for Huddersfield playing in a similar position.
He could benefit next season if Phillips moves on.

Best place to play him is behind the strikers. He’s quality in the last third but almost non existent in the other two thirds. Still can’t forget him letting Windass run past him unchallenged at Wembley.
Reckon he’ll attract bids. Eleven goals from midfield is not too shabby.

We need a strong striker and a bit of steel and reliability around him and DKD to let them flourish.

Hope he stays, along with Humphries & DKD. Retained list out next week, should make interesting reading and give us an insight as to how Conor will reshape the squad ready for next season

He’s far too easy a player to glide past, he’s just not agile enough. He needs two players behind him to do a lot of graft to make up for his complete lack of defensive awareness

He’s had a very good season, especially in front of goal. Most improved player this season but not our best player.

I wonder if championship sides will be sniffing around.

He’s a really aesthetically pleasing player on the ball.

Be surprised if there aren’t bids for him.

I know plenty aren’t keen. And Phillips gets similar grief. Call me old fashioned and that, but I just enjoy midfielders who contribute to goals on a regular basis.
