Certainly kn̈ows where the back of the net is, albeit at a lower level, his age would probably go against him though

I think here in lies the problem for a team like us. Looking at the lower level teams, many of the top scorers are either older players who are ending their careers/ found their highest level or younger players who are on loan from higher league clubs. If you take Kelman at Leyton Orient as an example, on loan from QPR, even if Orient get promotion QPR will either want decent money for him or say no he's with us now, he can do league 1 let us try him in the championship. Many of the top scorers in the higher end of the none league pyramid are similar, older players or on loan from higher clubs. All teams are looking for the next Jamie Vardy basically. I keep an eye on Truro City due to locality and an interest as to how far they can push a Cornish team in the league structure( wahayy promotion to the NL this season!!) Top scorer inthat division was Truro's Tyler Harvey, 29 yo, never played higher level than current so not really of interest to us, maybe Jase Kabia from the Truro squad, younger and plays less of a strikers role but did nothing at Clyde, so is he worth a punt? Loan signing Luke Jephcott important goals at the end of the season, but was obviously not doing the biz for Newport, couple of seasons back people on here were suggesting we should go for him. There will always be a Kone out there but all clubs are looking for them, we can take the punts on the Dallas's, Tutons, Shaw's, That postman who's name I forget in the hope we can get a good un, but it really is pot luck if they can make the step up.

Not too sure where that was going other than I've had a few beers and a few thoughts.

Been by far the best striker in League 2 this season. Someone in our league will give him the chance and get a good year or two out of him.

I think we’re likely to go for the Bosnian lad who’s been at Port Vale. Only 23 and been good this year. We’ll also be in for Jatta at Notts.

 

Arsenal interested apparently.

 

We aren't going to sign a division 4 thirty three year old, that's never played at our level.
