I really hope this is wrong, the quality of their stuff is absolutely dire. You’ll be gagging for puma to come back after you’ve seen this lot. The quality is so poor.
I would agree. We could also make a stand that there is no reason whatsoever for a third kit And after asking the fans to buy the home or away (or both) kits, they could price them all at £40 to avoid the annual cycle of selling 100 pieces @ £55 during the first 8 months of the season then selling 5000 pieces @ £18 for the last couple of games. Ludicrous pricing.
Not quite, £40-£50 https://shop.exetercityfc.com/colle...MpnF2xvXfYwOKvQQCwpSLGwDLSc553On8tdEXfzZCkV0p
My kids are past that age now but I’m sure they would prefer a decent looking kit made by Oxen than something hideous by Puma. The last set of kits were truly horrific. * This is just an illustration
They have been horrific but is that pumas fault or our minority shareholder who has been meddling in the kit design?
No idea. I haven’t liked the kits for a while. All I’d say is that I’d expect someone in the fashion industry to do better, and a company whose profession it is to design and supply to do better. I would honestly choose any of the designs my Work skills group produced on a kit designer ap, than anything that has come out of Puma/ Oakwell in recent years.
Agree with that. I just think it's largely the club's fault for meddling Not that I'm meddling now or anything *ahem*
Oxen sounds like the perfect partner as we continue to become more and more tinpot season by season. In fact why not go all the way and ask Fruit of the Loom if they can make us one? Suggest we also stop selling Coke and Salt craft beer and replace them with Rola Cola and Ruddles Best.
Sorry, my bad. Puma had the rights for a period though, because it's how we managed to release the 1990s replicas in the club store with the actual Admiral logo on.
On Oxen, I'd never heard of them until this thread. Let's hope certain fashionistas don't design next season's kits.
That made me chuckle, although the Puma kits have been pretty crap for a while. Personally I'm fine with us having a local supplier making the kit. Besides, it's still a lot less tinpot than: Beaver Koala Pelada Jako Lowfields (who made probably the greatest kit we've ever had).
It doesn't matter what it looks like it's all to do with the name and cred, as it was when we were kids. Another own goal by the board if this is true.
In the club shop throw everything that's not official kit into a load of baskets down the middle of the shop and call it "Middle of Oakwell" in recognition off Aldi's infamous tat isle.
