Hope they don't drag out the retained list. It should be out tomorrow at the latest.

Hourihane in his post match interview said things to be finalised today and once all players have been notified then the list gets releases.
So I would expect the retained list to be announced this week

As most folk have eluded to, a total clear out of all the dead wood is required and a complete reset. Hopefully CH will know who he wants to keep and the type of players he wants to bring in.

To be fair it’s a really difficult balance to get right,
We could have given him 12 mouths contract, if he’d turned out to be a goal machine and he walked away on a free, folk would have been saying that we need to tie these players down on longer contracts.

Yeah, we should have given him a 10 year contract, just to be on the safe side...:)

That's a fair point except didn't we have him on loan first and he was very very disappointing with the majority of fans thinking he was **** for most games? To then offer him a long term contract was absolutely stupid. He wasn't an unknown gamble. We'd already seen how bad he was

I can’t remember mate to be honest, you’re probably right but with the amount of players we go through I lose track.

Watters got sent off whilst on loan with us, forearmed an opponent for no apparent reason
After our History with Hulme and Morgan he should have been sent back to his parent club there and then.
    Not rewarded with a contract
That said the club did try to off load him the season previous, but there were no permanent takers, plus, he refused to go out on loan if what I got told was correct

Believe it or not he almost ended up at Peterborough, and they actually offered as a fee for him. He didn’t want to go. I’m assuming he’s in a very good crack here.
