Can I just say, whenever I use a public toilet I go do whatever I need to do and wouldn’t be able tell you what anyone in there looked like if you asked me as I left. Do some of you stand around in there, weighing up the gender of others? Sounds a bit worrying that.
Fun fact. A law school conducted a study into safety and privacy in public bathrooms. It found that while only 7% of trans women had been wrongly denied entry to a male toilet that figure rose sharply to over 10% of trans man who had been victimised and wrongfully denied entry to female toilets. It found that while less than 9% of trans women had been verbally abused in a male toilet the experience for trans men attempting to use female was worse with almost 11% of trans men (assigned female at birth) being verbally abused in female toilets. So that blows the argument of bad men making trans women feel uncomfortable in male toilets out of the water. It's actually women who both verbally abuse and deny entry to trans men more often than men do the same to trans men. The study shows that males are more welcoming than females are. That blows a certain argument out of the water.
Well if it's so straight forward if you born a man go to the man's toilet if a ladies the ladies simple as that.
Because i'm consistent in my support for minorities, correct. Something which modern religion hates. Acceptance.
Well support or no support I agree with the SC ruling which makes the world a safer place for women. It's obvious your hate for religion and stereotypical bigoted views towards it because of your own agendas.
Explain how this supreme court ruling will make the world safer for women. Is someone that intends on assaulting a woman going to be put off by a supreme court ruling?
On the subject of toilets, the wife and myself were once coming back from skeggy in the 80s ( i think it was skeggy) anyway, I pulled into one of the layby's to use the toilet, walked into the gents and the smell was so over powering,it took my breath away and nearly put me on my back I thought bugger this I'll use the ladies, so I checked to make sure that there weren't any other cars about and also called out to see if anyone was in the loo, i then sent the wife in to check, it was ok, to go in. she gave me the ok, then me and the wife went in to separate cubicals Id finished having a pee and exited the cubical and was just washing my hands. Now I don't know what the woman thought I was doing or how long she'd been stood behind me whilst I washed my hands but she certainly let her distaste out as she screwed up her face and snapped ....absolutely disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourself, she continued, disgusting disgusting disgusting, adding you do know This is ONLY for FEMALES DONT YOU I grabbed my crotch over my pants with my open hand moved it up and down a few times and replied So is this love and then walked out. Leaving her opened mouthed A few minutes later the wife as she was then walked out of the toilets laughing saying that when she'd come out of the cubicle she'd said to the woman, excuse me, but I think you are in the wrong toilets the Gents are next door. No no youve got it wrong I'm all woman she stated Not with a mouth like that one you've got you're not the wife added before washing her hands and exiting the toilets
By this logic, what's point in having separate bathrooms at all mate? No, not all trans are scumbag, I assume there's the same number of them as there are in most walks of life, but when people say something like you're suggesting, collective punishment for the few. Well I've never raped anyone, nor would I. I'm being told to go in the male bathrooms 'just incase' something could happen. Is that just not the same? I understand it'll upset a trans person a lot more than it would me, but on the other side I wouldnt dare tell a woman who's been raped just not to worry and empathise with said trans person. Like I said in initial post ages ago, it's a tough spot to be in but I think youre going in very hard on Helen here when all she wants (unless I've missed something from a different thread) is spaces for biological women? Apologies if I've misunderstood your argument.
I hope you know this story makes you sound like a predator in many ways. How weird that the "womens rights activists" on this thread haven't called out the one instance of a man being threatening to a woman in a woman's toilets. It's almost like it's nothing to do with protecting women and all about discriminating against trans people.
Helen has consistently been transphobic in this thread. She's not just asked for "spaces for biological women". The language she's used and the nonsense she spouts is extremely bigoted towards trans people. Not for the first time. She's just been far more mask off and nasty in this thread than she was previously.
You grabbed your crotch and taunted a woman while in the women's toilets? And then chose to recount the story on the internet. OK.
I've never once said men should be allowed in the women's toilets. In fact, I'm actively against it, unlike you. I think we should keep all men out of women's toilets. Thanks to people like you many men with male on their birth certificate, beards and penises are legally required to be in there now though.
That is an absolutely mental story to tell strangers on a public forum. I don't mean that in a good way either, in simple terms you've gone into a women's toilets and grabbed your crotch repeatedly at a woman you didn't know, and all this was in a random lay by rest room.
It is not nasty to be firm that wonen need spaces based on biology. And that has always been my stand. You can't see for eg, Muslim women unable to go out and about because they need to know that facilities are based on sex. You can call me a transphobe all you like but nowhere have I ever said I want them skulking in the shadows, want them threatened, want them not to dress and act how they like within the law. We're not going to agree on this, but believe it or not I have listened to arguments on both sides.
It's a good job that whilst the rapists and attackers don't respect the law or the notion of consent, they absolutely respect the little diagram on the toilet door and wouldn't dream of ever entering the women's toilets if we tell them they're not allowed.
