    Give us a clue. Funny you've posted this, l bought a telescope for myself and son in the winter and started setting it up yesterday. Took longer than l thought so I'm finishing it off today, it's an EQ mount, I'm going to have to have a word with Brian Cox.

    It’s not Orion, it could be Ursa major, but you can see more stars than you normally see here.

    Because of your latitude it's really difficult for us to work it out. Not only do you see stars we can't in the UK, but everything we do recognise is at a confusingly tilted angle. May be the Southern Cross, Check out Stellariium online.
