OK,, I was maybe overboard with some but there was a lovely coverdrive if I remember rightly that got cut off before the boundary He is badly out of form this season so far, and tbh with Adam making the runs the other end and us having the luxury of time, I'd hoped this was an ideal time for him to get a fifty, however vs slowly!
I remember a couple of years ago Lyth couldn’t buy a decent score, and it went on for some time. I criticised him on here, quite wrongly, because his form returned. Good players have bad spells. Finlay will get through this and start scoring properly, and soon.
Bean will pull through soon. He’s obviously got skill and I’m sure the county’s coaching staff will have told him to “ bat through” his bad form. I think he still holds the record score in second 11 games …. 400 +
Great morning for the lads, especially Adam Lyth. Surprised to hear that he has scored centuries off every county but two - Derbyshire and Worcestershire.
We should also remember the step up in class he faces. First division attacks different gravy to second division.
I remember a few questioning the declaration in a previous game. 370/2 I'm going for a 450 lead hopefully or tea. (push on and another 80) I'm so pleased Lyth has proved he's not over the hill when I thought he needed dropping from the side at times. Rammed it down my throat. (Shut it stephen) lol.
Great Yorkshire comeback after a poor first innings on first day. Get another quick hundred and then declare I’d say.
Finally declared, 519 runs ahead, after Bairstow holes out on 79. Bit dodgy having the skipper playing for personal milestones rather than the benefit of the team.
