Bolton fans were giving him stick on their platforms a few weeks back' i've always thought he was rock solid like.

 

Has no pace cost Bolton both goals against Oxford in the PO final last season, lazy attempt at a header without jumping that went in off him, then decided to have a wander round in a back 4 leaving a big gap, awful defender.

 

Santos is Babba and had we targeted him on the floor in the home first leg of the play off semi, we’d have had a decent chance of going through. Instead we launched balls at his big daft head all game.

 

Lofthouse had a solid loan and Burton really like him, as did MK, so seems more like more of a ‘us’ problem

 

Would probably help if we played him in a position he’s used to rather than a makeshift striker or left winger

 

Apparently we were very close to signing Sibley before he eventually signed for Oxford

 

That’s a fair point and one that is often discussed around where I sit in the ground. Why can’t we play these players who have done well in the Academy and development teams and earned a first-team call-up in the positions they’ve done well in? I know players will want to play any position as long as they’re selected, but playing in a familiar role has to be more beneficial, especially when the team is struggling a bit

 

I rate Loffty ,it is a real pity when he gets a chance he is played out of position.
Hope he gets a chance from CH.

I hope so. Couple of million for Connell and Ledson replacing him on a free would be excellent business.

 

Only hear little bits but I know Hourihane was on it straight away with recruitment as soon as the season finished. I do expect a played to be signed before the mini window shuts early June. Not sure if Ledson or Sibley sign, I’m not that in the know but what I do know is it wouldn’t surprise me if we bagged both early on.

 

Yeah not saying he is or he isn't.. Just making the observation that you don't need a DOF or HC to sign players.. We'd need midfielders to leave before any would come in surely..
Everyone's tip was Phillips to Preston but they've just signed a midfielder from Stoke.. so who knows , Who actually leaves and who doesn't may surprise one or two.
